What is Dr Elif Face Slim™?

How does Face Slim™ work?

Lower-face width usually comes from one or more of three things: bulky jaw (masseter) muscles, pockets of fat along the jawline and under the chin, and a lack of definition at the chin and jaw angle that makes the face read as wide. Face Slim™ targets all three:

• Muscle – anti-wrinkle injections. Precisely placed masseter injections relax the over-developed jaw muscles, so the angle of the jaw gradually slims over the following weeks.
• Fat – fat dissolving injections. Fat dissolving injections reduce stubborn fat along the jawline, jowls and under the chin, sharpening the outline of the lower face.
• Contour – dermal fillers. Small, strategic amounts of filler at the chin and jawline – including Dr Elif’s 2 Point Jawline Filler™ technique – lengthen and define the face so the overall shape becomes more oval or heart-shaped rather than square.

What to expect: the Face Slim™ process

1. Consultation. Dr Elif assesses the shape of your face, the size of the jaw muscles, where fat sits and how the chin and jawline relate to the rest of the face, then explains which combination will give the shape you want.
2. Session one. The first elements of the plan are carried out – often the muscle-relaxing and fat dissolving injections, which need time to work.
3. Sessions two and three. As the muscle slims and the fat reduces, Dr Elif reviews the result and refines the contour, adding the filler element where it is needed. A full programme typically spans two or three sessions.
4. Review. Once the final shape has settled, a maintenance plan is agreed if one is needed.

How long does Face Slim™ last?

The fat reduction achieved with fat dissolving injections is long-lasting. The muscle-slimming and filler elements are maintained with occasional top-up sessions, which Dr Elif will recommend based on your treatment plan.
