What is Fotona LipLase?
Fotona LipLase is a laser lip treatment performed with the Er:YAG laser of the Fotona SP Dynamis. The laser gently heats the lip tissue — on the inside of the lips and on the outer lip surface — in Fotona’s non-ablative SMOOTH mode. The heat stimulates collagen, so over the following weeks the lips look fuller, more hydrated and better defined, and fine vertical lines on and around the lips are softened. Nothing is injected, so the result looks like your own lips, only fresher.

How the treatment works
Your treatment starts with a consultation to assess your lips and discuss the look you want. On the day, numbing cream is applied for comfort. The laser is then passed over the inner and outer lip in several gentle passes to build heat evenly without damaging the surface. Most people feel warmth and a mild tingling. You can return to your daily activities straight away; mild swelling or redness settles within a few days. The number of sessions and any maintenance treatments are agreed at your consultation.

Who carries out your LipLase treatment?

Safety and aftercare
LipLase is a gentle, non-ablative treatment. Common effects are mild swelling, redness or a feeling of dryness for a few days. Uncommon risks include a cold-sore flare in people prone to them — tell us if you get cold sores, as preventive treatment may be advised — and, rarely, blistering or pigmentation change if too much heat is used. Keep the lips moisturised and protected from the sun afterwards. You have a follow-up review and a direct line to the clinic by WhatsApp or phone if you have any concern.
