What is a HydraFacial?
A HydraFacial is a non-invasive skincare treatment designed to improve both the appearance and the health of the skin. It combines several steps – cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, hydration and protection – into one session using a device that works like a gentle vacuum while delivering serums. Because nothing is injected and no heat is used, it suits almost every skin type, including sensitive skin, and you can go straight back to your day afterwards.
It is used for fine lines and wrinkles, dull or dehydrated skin, congested pores and blackheads, breakouts, uneven texture and mild hyperpigmentation. It is also a popular “event facial”, because the glow is visible immediately.
The HydraFacial steps
- Cleansing and exfoliation. The skin is gently cleansed to remove dirt, make-up and impurities, then a special tip exfoliates dead surface cells to reveal fresher skin underneath.
- Acid peel (optional). A mild peel using gentle acids can be added to exfoliate further and enhance the overall result.
- Extractions. A painless vacuum-like tip lifts debris and impurities out of the pores, clearing blackheads and whiteheads without squeezing.
- Hydration and infusion. The skin is infused with serums containing antioxidants, peptides and hyaluronic acid to nourish and hydrate it, improving texture and glow.
- Protection and LED light. The session finishes with moisturiser, sunscreen and LED light therapy to calm the skin and protect it from environmental damage.

Who is a HydraFacial suitable for?
HydraFacial is generally suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin. It is a good first treatment for people who have never had a professional facial, a regular maintenance treatment between other procedures, and a gentle option when you want visible results without needles, heat or recovery time. Your suitability is confirmed at consultation. Where skin concerns are deeper – established wrinkles, laxity, acne scarring or melasma – we may suggest combining or replacing the facial with a treatment such as Tixel, polynucleotides, acne scar treatment or melasma and hyperpigmentation treatment.
Aftercare and how often to have it
There is no downtime, and you can resume your normal activities immediately. Each session ends with moisturiser and sunscreen, and daily sunscreen afterwards protects the result. Courses of three or six sessions are available for ongoing skin health; Dr Elif will advise the spacing that suits your skin at your consultation.
