What is bruxism?
The masseters are the two bulky chewing muscles at the angle of the jaw, one on each side. They can become overworked, and persistent tension in them is often related to grinding the teeth or clenching the jaw – which may stem from stress. This is called bruxism. Muscle relaxation injections are a very effective treatment for it.
