What is chin filler?
Chin filler (chin augmentation with dermal filler) is the non-surgical alternative to a chin implant. The most common and safest type of chin filler is hyaluronic acid filler – a substance that exists naturally in the body and, if ever necessary, can be dissolved. You may feel the mild prick of the needle as it enters the skin; it is tolerable and no pain follows after that. You can return to your day immediately.

What to expect: the chin filler process
- Consultation. Dr Elif assesses the chin in relation to the lips, nose and jawline from the front and in profile, and explains how much filler is needed and whether the jawline should be treated at the same time.
- Preparation. Numbing cream is applied while you wait.
- Treatment. The filler is placed and moulded; the change is visible immediately.
- Afterwards. Mild swelling or tenderness may follow for a few days. Your post-treatment care is followed by Dr Elif, and the result lasts 12 to 15 months.
